The Service is available via web interface. For login please use you institutional credentials.

Users do not have to install anything while using the web-interface.

Once you logged in, you can create either a new

• “dataverse” (a data collection)
• or a “dataset” (which is a package containing a metadata section, and arbitrary number of files)

Select “Add Data”.

Upload then any type of quantitative or qualitative data (in any format).

The “data verses” contain one or more datasets.

• Add Metadata to your data so other users can understand what they get, when they take a look at your data
• A persistent identifier (DOI = digital object identifier) is automatically reserved for your uploaded data which will make your data easily findable and citable.
• When you are ready to share with others, click on “Publish”. It will activate the DOI number and the metadata will be published not only on this site, but in the central DOI database, which is used by many different discovery services.

The dataverses provide you with rights management. You can set up groups with different roles, and you can attach roles to users.
